1731 ET - The long-term outlook for natural diamond prices remains cautious, Lucara Diamond says, with the market continuing to navigate structural shifts. Near term, premium-grade natural diamonds are showing renewed strength, Lucara adds. However, mid-range and lower-grade stones continue to face pricing pressure from high inventories, cautious consumer sentiment, and a rise of lab-grown diamonds. "Prices of lab-grown diamonds have continued to decrease in 2025 with production outweighing demand," Lucara says. The company also said global natural diamond production is expected to decrease, following significant production guidance cuts by major diamond producers. It added that encouraging sign are emerging in the recovery of the Chinese market. (stephen.nakrosis@wsj.com)
