Newmont (NEM) said Monday it has exceeded the maximum amounts of its pool 1 and pool 2 tender offers to purchase different series of outstanding notes, as of the early tender date of 5 pm ET on Friday.
The maximum amount for each pool is $1 billion, according to a statement.
For its pool 1 tender offer, Newmont said it expects to accept for purchase all of the 2.800% senior notes due 2029 and 2.250% senior notes due 2030 validly tendered before or on Friday and the 3.250% notes due 2030 validly tendered before or on Friday, subject to proration. The company said it does not expect to accept for purchase any pool 1 notes tendered after the early tender date.
For its pool 2 tender offer, Newmont said it expects to accept for purchase all of the 6.250% senior notes due 2039 and 4.875% senior notes due 2042 validly tendered before or on Friday, and the 5.750% notes due 2041 validly tendered before or on Friday, subject to proration.
Newmont said it does not expect to accept for purchase any of the 5.450% notes due 2044, 5.875% notes due 2035 and 2.600% sustainability-linked notes due 2032. The company said it does not expect to accept for purchase any pool 2 notes tendered after Friday.
