EverQuote (EVER) said Monday that it has agreed to repurchase 900,000 shares of its class A stock for $21 million from Link Ventures, an entity affiliated with Chairman and Co-Founder David Blundin.
The company said the buyback, part of its $50 million share repurchase program, was priced at $23.33 per share, a 1.75% discount to Friday's closing price.
After the repurchase, the company said Link Ventures will remain its largest shareholder with 18.8% shares and 56.8% of voting power, down from 20.8% and 57.4%, respectively.
The company said its total outstanding shares will decrease to about 35.7 million from 36.6 million after the transaction, expected to close Tuesday.
