Energy stocks were advancing premarket Monday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) up 0.4%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was nearly 1% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 0.5%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 0.6% higher at $64.29 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.6% to $67.00 per barrel. Natural gas futures were down 0.3% at $2.982
per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Excelerate Energy (EE) shares were up more than 3% after the company reported higher Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue.
Petrobras (PBR) shares were 0.7% higher after the company closed Friday with a decline of more than 7% amid lower-than-expected Q2 earnings.
