一位发言人表示，在瑞士遭遇美国针对发达国家的最高关税后，瑞士政府已联系本土制药商罗氏控股公司（Roche Holding AG）和诺华公司（Novartis AG），商讨关税相关情况。
《星期日一瞥报》（SonntagsBlick）周日报道称，经济部长居伊・帕尔梅林（Guy Parmelin）和内政部长伊丽莎白・鲍姆 - 施耐德（Elisabeth Baume-Schneider）将与这两家公司的高管举行危机峰会，讨论瑞士制药业的未来。该报还补充道，其他制药商也将参与其中。
内政部一位发言人在给彭博社的电子邮件声明中称：“相关部门与包括制药业在内的所有行业保持定期联系。在当前形势下，也计划进行会谈。”
据该报消息，此次会议将在夏季假期结束后举行。由于政府休会将于周三结束，这意味着会议最早可能在本月召开。
