IT之家 8 月 15 日消息，《The Information》此前报道称，苹果计划今年在更多国家和地区移除 iPhone 的实体 SIM 卡槽，尤其是全新的超薄 iPhone 17 Air / Slim。
爆料者 Majin Bu 今日放出的一组图片显示，部分 iPhone 17 Pro 工程机仍保留实体 SIM 卡槽，意味着苹果已经为可能无法在部分国家地区推出 eSIM 版 iPhone 17 Pro 的情况准备了第二套方案。
作为参考，美版 iPhone 14 至 iPhone 16 全系均已取消 SIM 卡槽。苹果在 2022 年发布 iPhone 14 系列时曾强调 eSIM 相比实体 SIM 更安全，因为 iPhone 就算失窃也无法物理移除 SIM 卡。
此外，iPhone 最多可同时管理 8 个 eSIM，减少了用户在旅行时申请及更换实体 SIM 卡的繁琐操作。
