Cadence Design Systems (CDNS) said Wednesday its collaboration with Nvidia (NVDA) has achieved dynamic power analysis of billion-gate AI designs, spanning billions of cycles within a few hours, with up to 97 percent accuracy.
The achievement will enable developers of AI, machine learning, and GPU-accelerated applications to design more energy-efficient systems and accelerate their time to market, Cadence said.
Cadence's Palladium Z3 Platform, using the company's Dynamic Power Analysis app, accurately estimates power consumption under real-world workloads, allowing early power modeling before tape-out, when designs can still be optimized, the company said.
