Tecogen Inc. (NYSE American: TGEN), a leading manufacturer of clean energy products, reported its financial results for the second quarter of 2025. The company recorded revenues of $7.29 million, marking an increase from $4.73 million in the same quarter of 2024. Despite the rise in revenues, Tecogen posted a net loss of $1.47 million for the quarter, a slight improvement from the net loss of $1.54 million reported in the same period last year. For the six months ended June 30, 2025, Tecogen reported a net loss of $2.12 million, a decrease from the $2.64 million net loss experienced during the first half of 2024. The improved results were attributed to increased gross profit from the company's Products and Services segments. Service revenues for the six-month period were $8.21 million, slightly up from $8.14 million in the previous year, driven by increased revenues from existing contracts. However, Energy Production revenues fell to $0.67 million from $1.16 million in 2024, due to contract expirations and temporary shutdowns for repairs at certain energy production sites. Tecogen's cash and cash equivalents stood at $1.64 million as of June 30, 2025. The adjusted EBITDA for the second quarter was negative $1.16 million, an improvement compared to negative $1.30 million in the same quarter of 2024. For the first half of 2025, the adjusted EBITDA was negative $1.54 million, compared to negative $2.19 million for the same period in 2024.
