SpiceJet Signs Lease Agreements for Five Boeing 737 Aircraft

SpiceJet (NSE:SPICEJET, BOM:500285) has firmed up lease agreements for five more Boeing 737 aircraft to join the fleet by October, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

These additional aircraft will remain with the airline till May 2026, and will cater to the peak winter season and early summer season of 2026.

Last month, Spicejet signed agreements to induct five Boeing 737s on a damp lease from another operator.

The airline said it is also in talks to lease more aircraft ahead of the winter 2025 schedule.

The company's shares were up over 2% in recent trade.
