美国财政部长史考特·贝森特表示，日本央行在应对通胀问题上慢半拍；罕见地对外国央行的决策指点江山。

　　贝森特周三表示：“他们慢半拍”，并指出他与日本央行行长植田和男讨论了日本的通胀问题 。“因此，他们将要升息，并且需要控制通胀问题，”他补充道。

　　贝森特发表上述言论之际，日本央行的政策利率仍位于主要经济体中最低水准之一，该国关键物价指标维持在央行2%的目标水准或以上已三年多。继日本央行上个月决定维持利率不变后，植田发表了大致偏鸽的言论，并避免承诺下次升息的时间表。

　　根据媒体最新调查，在关注日本央行的经济学家中，约42%的受访者预计日本央行将在10月升息，三分之一的受访者认为要到1月才会升息。日本央行在9月19日下次会议上料将维持利率不变。

　　贝森特过去曾对日本央行升息表示赞赏，称此举符合经济基本面。他在4月表示，随着国内数据走强，日本央行正在加息，所以这一切都很自然。
