South Africa's Nedbank agrees to sell Ecobank stake for $100 million

JOHANNESBURG, Aug 15 (Reuters) - South Africa's Nedbank Group NEDJ.J said on Friday that it had signed an agreement to sell its 21.2% stake in pan-African lender Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) ETI.LG for $100 million.

"Nedbank Group is pleased to announce that a sale and purchase agreement was entered into with Bosquet Investments Limited ... on 13 August 2025 regarding the sale of all of the group's 21.2% shareholding in ETI for a purchase consideration of US$100m," Nedbank said in a statement.
