智通财经APP获悉，截至发稿，Peabody Energy(BTU.US)周二盘前股价上涨7%。此前该公司表示，由于今年早些时候澳大利亚安博里恩北矿发生火灾，公司终止了与英美资源集团价值 38 亿美元的收购炼焦煤资产的交易。
Peabody总裁兼首席执行官Jim Grech表示，这两家公司未能就一项修订协议达成一致，以解决这一重大不利变化所带来的影响。该变化旨在补偿Peabody在此次收购计划中所涉及的最大矿井因火灾而产生的重大且长期的损失。
该矿原计划在 2025 年实现 530 万吨的可销售产量，但Peabody表示，目前尚未确定恢复按预期产量和成本进行长壁开采的时间表。
Peabody在 5 月份表示，这场火灾构成了一种重大不利变化，这将使其有理由终止该交易。上个月该公司又表示，目前尚无明确的恢复运营时间表;而英美资源集团则表示，该矿场和设备均未受损，并对此次事件不构成重大不利变化提出了异议。
该交易的失败将对英美资源集团造成重大打击。该公司在 11 月曾同意出售煤炭资产，旨在简化并缩小业务规模，以便能够专注于铜和铁矿石业务。
