Infratil (ASX:IFT,NZE:IFT) gained almost 2% in recent trade.
The company's US investee and renewable energy developer Longroad Energy said new guidance from US regulators on tax credit rules for wind and solar projects will help it reach its goal of building or starting construction on 8.5 gigawatts of fleet by the end of fiscal 2028.
Meanwhile, the non-energy minerals sector fell almost 1%.
Santana Minerals (ASX:SMI, NZE:SMI) was down past 2% in recent trade.
