Consumer stocks were mixed premarket Wednesday, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) 0.3% lower and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) up 0.1%.
TJX (TJX) shares were up more than 4% after the company posted higher fiscal Q2 earnings and net sales, and raised its fiscal 2026 earnings per share guidance.
Lowe's (LOW) stock was up more than 2% after the company posted higher fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings and net sales, and increased its full year sales outlook.
Target (TGT) shares were down more than 10% after the company reported lower fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings and net sales.
