据“清风揭阳”8月23日消息，广东省揭阳市揭西县人大常委会原党组成员、副主任李清闲涉嫌严重违纪违法，目前正接受揭阳市纪委监委纪律审查和监察调查。

新华网2010年5月24日消息，揭阳市揭西县棉湖供电所（城西片）副所长林少初、揭西县东园镇东联社区党支部书记林俊初兄弟二人，大操大办其母葬礼，在社会上造成不良影响。揭阳市纪检监察部门近日决定，林少初兄弟二人均被撤销职务，揭西县供电局局长、东园镇党委书记、镇长等其他4名责任人也受到处分。

其中，时任揭西县东园镇党委书记的李清闲受到党内警告的处分。
