China Petroleum & Chemical or Sinopec (SHA:600688, HKG:0386) discovered 165 billion cubic meters of proven shale gas reserves in southwest China, according to multiple media reports Thursday.
The field, located at the junction of Hubei province and Chongqing municipality, was named Hongxing, the reports said.
