Rox Resources (ASX:RXL) said the results from metallurgical test work conducted on concentrate samples from the Youanmi gold project in Western Australia, with oxidative leaching tests achieved gold recoveries of up to 95.8%, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The firm is conducting further test work to optimize the grind size and oxidation requirement for the definitive feasibility study, slated for release in November.
The goal is to ultrafine grind the concentrate to 10 micrometers to 12 micrometers, partially oxidize the sulfides via the Albion process in open-air tanks, and achieve overall gold recoveries of between 90% and 92%, Rox's Chief Executive Officer, Phill Wilding, said.
Its shares rose almost 6% in recent trading on Thursday.
