Ballard Mining (ASX:BM1) said it began phase 1 exploration drilling at its Mt Ida gold project's Baldock Thrust and Ballard Fault in Western Australia, with assay results pending, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The company has identified 18 initial high-priority exploration targets.
Interpretation of the high-resolution Drone Mag survey across the entire 26km prospective strike is pending and expected to generate additional targets, the filing added.
The company's shares rose 6% in recent Thursday trade.
