The Macerich Company recently completed the sale of two properties. On August 18, 2025, they sold the Lakewood Center in Lakewood, California, for $332.1 million, with the buyer assuming a $317.1 million loan on the property. Two days later, on August 20, 2025, they sold Valley Mall in Harrisburg, Virginia, for $22.1 million. The company plans to use the proceeds from these sales for general corporate purposes.
