Bank of East Asia's H1 Attributable Profit Rises

The Bank of East Asia (HKG:0023) booked profit attributable to the owners of HK$2.41 billion in the first half of 2025, up from HK$2.11 billion in the prior-year period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Earnings per share were HK$0.86, compared with HK$0.69 in the year-ago period.

Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated earnings per share of HK$0.80.

Net interest income was HK$7.34 billion, down from HK$8.23 billion in the previous-year period.

Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated net interest income of HK$7.67 billion.

The lender declared an interim dividend of HK$0.39 per share.
