8月20日，中国工程院发布《关于公布中国工程院2025年院士增选有效候选人名单的公告》，《公告》中介绍，中国工程院2025年院士增选提名工作已经结束，确认中国工程院2025年院士增选有效候选人660人。

　　其中，比亚迪股份有限公司廉玉波位列机械与运载工程学部名单。

　　值得注意的是，这并不是廉玉波第一次入选中国工程院院士增选有效候选人名单。

　　资料显示，廉玉波在2023年和2025年的候选人名单中都位列机械与运载工程学部，提名人都是李骏。

　　公开信息显示，廉玉波任比亚迪首席科学家、汽车总工程师、汽车工程研究院院长等职位。

而除了廉玉波，入围院士有效候选名单的还有宁德时代首席科学家吴凯、宇通客车的新能源研究院院长李高鹏、中车集团的大功率电力牵引与控制领域专家冯江华等等。
