Kyndryl to Invest $2.25 Billion in India for AI Lab, Talent Programs

Kyndryl (KD) said Thursday it will invest $2.25 billion in India over the next three years to establish an AI Innovation Lab in Bengaluru and expand talent development programs.

The lab will focus on AI consulting, platform engineering, cybersecurity and IT modernization, while also supporting collaboration with enterprises and government stakeholders under India's INDIAai Mission.

Kyndryl said it is also signing a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry to apply its AI platform, Kyndryl Bridge, in the country's Ease of Doing Business initiative.

The company said it plans to expand offices into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, launch graduate programs and provide digital training to about 200,000 citizens.
