在罗永浩播客《罗永浩的十字路口》第二期中，小鹏汽车董事长兼CEO何小鹏表示，进入汽车领域后发现自动驾驶软件很难做好，远低于最初的想象。“甚至在2022年、2023年时，我还在怀疑它能否达到L4级别。”

　　他指出，大模型的出现是自动驾驶在较短时间内能进入下一个巨大变化阶段的原因。

　　何小鹏认为，将来只有两种车：第一种是有人驾驶的车，比如我们自己开，但具备L4级别的软件能力，开1000公里甚至1万公里才需要碰一次方向盘；第二种是无人驾驶的车，你不坐在司机位上，车自己开，这时车追求更远距离的接管和更低的云端接管率。

　　他认为，将来会是有驾驶员的L4级别车辆和无人驾驶的L4级别车辆并存，这个过程可能在未来的2到5年内实现。
