BlockBeats 消息，8 月 26 日，近日，美联储理事、下任美联储主席热门人选沃勒在怀俄明州区块链研讨会上以“Technological Advancements in Payments（支付技术的进步）”为题发表公开演讲。其指出，支付系统正在经历“技术驱动的革命”，计算能力、数据处理和分布式网络方面的最新进步推动了创新型支付服务的增长。
沃勒表示，在任何支付交易中，都会发生三件事。同样的流程也适用于加密货币世界。“我购买一个模因币，并使用稳定币作为支付手段。交易通过智能合约进行。最后，交易记录在分布式账本上。这并不可怕，因为它发生在去中心化金融或 DeFi 的世界里——这只是一种用于转移物品和记录交易的新技术。在日常交易中使用智能合约、代币化或分布式账本时，也没什么好害怕的。（There is nothing to be afraid of when thinking about using smart contracts, tokenization, or distributed ledgers in everyday transactions.）”
