1053 ET - Thoma Bravo's $2 billion acquisition of Verint Systems shows it has gone on the attack when it comes to buying up undervalued software businesses, Dan Ives and other Wedbush analysts say in a research note. The acquisition follows Thoma Bravo's $34.4 billion fundraising round announced in June, and sees the private-equity firm supporting a buyout strategy to drive innovation across the software landscape.Thoma Bravo will combine Verint's capabilities with the Calabrio business it bought in March 2021, giving Verint more scale to go after the AI opportunities in front of it.
