消息面上，8月21日晚，蔚来全新ES8产品技术发布会在成都举行。蔚来董事长李斌现场公布新款ES8预售价，整车购买预售价41.68万元起，电池租用方式购买预售价30.88万元起。全新ES8将于2025年9月下旬上市交付。蔚来汽车总裁秦力洪在新车发布翌日透露，“蔚来不公布订单数量，但是如果按照小时算，到目前为止，全新ES8的订单量是超过上个月乐道L90的。”
此前，蔚来新品牌乐道推出的L90车型，凭借26.58万元（BaaS方案下为17.98万元）的起售价获得了积极的市场反应。乐道L90是依托蔚来公司十年专注纯电技术创新打造的家庭大三排SUV革新之作，8月1日以来已累计交付超过7000台，稳居大型SUV销量TOP3，上市以来持续热销、热产、热交。 此外，李斌多次回应称，乐道L90、全新ES8确定的价格，都能保证一定的毛利率，而且在与同行的对决中能够保持竞争力。
