The semiconductor design firm Kunlunxin, backed by Baidu (HKG:9888), said it has won chip orders worth more than 1 billion yuan from suppliers to China Mobile (HKG:0941, SHA:600941) for artificial intelligence projects, Reuters reported Friday.

Kunlunxin will provide AI chips compatible with Nvidia's CUDA platform to suppliers, including H3C Technologies and ZTE (SHE:000063, HKG:0763), the report said.

A Huawei-linked firm also received part of the orders, which require compatibility with Huawei's Compute Architecture for Neural Networks.
