Yangtze Optical Fibre And Cable (HKG:6869) reported 296 million yuan in attributable profit for the first half of 2025, down 22% from 378 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Wednesday.
Basic earnings per share was 0.39 yuan, compared with 0.50 yuan in the prior year. Analysts at Visible Alpha expected 0.5 yuan in EPS.
Revenue fell 19% year-on-year to 6.38 billion yuan, figures showed. Analysts at Visible Alpha expected 5.87 billion yuan in revenue.
Shares of the optical fiber cable producer gained 16% in morning trade Thursday.
