IFF - International Flavors & Fragrances Inc., a global leader in flavors, fragrances, and biosciences, is expanding its operations through a new partnership with Reservas Votorantim in Brazil. The collaboration focuses on bioprospecting in Legado das Águas, the largest private Atlantic Forest reserve. This strategic alliance grants IFF and its subsidiary, LMR Naturals, exclusive access to the reserve's flora to develop unique extracts for perfumery and cosmetics. A new research lab will be established within the reserve, allowing IFF scientists and experts to study nearly 1,000 plant species. This initiative, marking IFF's first bioprospecting endeavor in Brazil, aims to harness Brazilian "super" ingredients and promote sustainable practices in fragrance innovation, aligning with IFF's mission to enhance its scent supply chain sustainably.
