Tariffs Will Hit Abercrombie & Fitch Prices Eventually, But Shoppers Won't Care -- Market Talk

1337 ET - Despite saying it would take a $90 million hit from tariffs this year, Abercrombie & Fitch said it isn't planning broad-based price increases. But the company likely won't be able to do that for long, says Third Bridge analyst Natasha Nair. India, which today had a 50% tariff imposed on its imports, is a key base for the clothing brand. But Abercrombie & Fitch is less sensitive to price, meaning that "as long as the product is strong, a modest increase at the register is unlikely to deter demand," Nair says.
