据“海口发布”微信公众号消息，8月26日，海口市十七届人大常委会第三十一次会议召开。会议经表决，接受丁晖辞去海口市人民政府市长职务；决定任命张勇为海口市人民政府副市长，决定张勇为海口市人民政府代理市长。

张勇原为广东省住房和城乡建设厅党组书记、厅长，日前已经担任海口市委副书记、市政府党组书记。

公开资料显示，张勇出生于1974年5月，山西临县人，长期在广东省工作，曾任深圳市安全生产监督管理局（市安委办）局长（主任）、党组书记，龙岗区委书记，深圳市副市长，深圳市委常委、前海蛇口片区管理委员会党组书记、主任，广州市委常委、常务副市长等职。

2022年5月，张勇担任广东住建厅党组书记、副厅长，后于2023年3月获任厅长，直至此次跨省履新海南。

前任海口市市长丁晖，已经转任海南省委教育工委副书记、省教育厅党组书记。
