Birks Group CEO to Depart

Birks Group Chief Executive Jean-Christophe Bédos is stepping down.

Bédos is set to leave on Friday and will offer advisory services through the transition to the new CEO, the Montreal, Quebec, jewelry designer said Monday.

Board chair Niccolò Rossi di Montelera will serve as interim chief executive while the search for a permanent successor continues.

Bédos has been Birks chief executive for 13 years.
