Prudential (HKG:2378, SGX:K6S) reported a profit attributable to equity holders of $1.28 billion for the first half of 2025, up from $120 million a year earlier, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Earnings per share came in at $0.491, compared with $0.044 in the prior-year period.
Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated $0.48 in EPS.
Insurance revenue rose to $5.33 billion from $4.96 billion.
The board approved a first interim dividend of $0.0771 per share, up 13% from $0.0684 a year ago.
Looking ahead, the insurer said it is on track to grow new business profit, adjusted operating earnings per share, and operating free surplus from in-force insurance and asset management by more than 10% in 2025 at constant exchange rates.
