HP CEO Sees Strong Back-to-School Spending on PCs -- Market Talk

1859 ET - HP's personal computer business drew stronger-than-expected demand from consumers in its latest quarter, CEO Enrique Lores says. "We think the back to school season has started strong, and this was part of the growth that we saw in Q3," Lores says in an interview. The company thinks any pull-in effect ahead of tariff-driven price increases was minimal, given that consumer spending trends were strong across geographies, he says. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
