AB Foods Faces Growing Long-Term Risks With Primark in Spotlight -- Market Talk

0950 GMT - Primark's parent company AB Foods should deliver on-year profit growth in 2026, Deutsche Bank analysts say in a research note. However, profits won't improve as much as investors currently expect going into 2027, they note. The U.K. group's divisions are facing a number of headwinds, they say. The biggest debate is whether Primark's negative like-for-like performance is temporary or structural. As long as this question hangs over Primark, the valuation multiple will stay compressed, the bank says. AB Foods shares fall 4.4%. (maitane.sardon@wsj.com)
