智通财经APP获悉，美国汽车工人联合会(UAW)主席Shawn Fain表示，由于未能达成新劳资协议，GE航天航空(GE.US)位于俄亥俄州埃文代尔的工厂及肯塔基州厄兰格配送中心的逾600名UAW成员于本周四开始罢工。
据了解，埃文代尔工厂主要为美国海军生产船舶及工业发动机，厄兰格配送中心则负责向该公司部分发动机工厂供应零部件。
此次罢工是近期席卷航空航天与航空业大规模劳工抗议浪潮的最新爆发点。在行业对熟练技术工人需求高涨的背景下，工会正积极争取新合同以强化权益保障。
过去两年来，从航空公司飞行员、空乘人员到机械师和航空航天工程师，该领域从业人员普遍要求提高薪资并加强职业保障。
UAW地方分会代表着上述两处逾600名员工。工会成员此前已投票通过决议，若8月27日截止前未能达成新协议，将启动罢工。
GE航天航空航空发言人表示，公司已启动“详细应急预案”，并对工会在员工未就方案投票前决定罢工表示“失望”。
