Kodiak Robotics named Surajit Datta its next chief financial officer.

Datta's appointment is effective immediately, the autonomous vehicle technology company said Monday.

He succeeds Eric Chow, who has been CFO since 2022. Chow plans to remain at Kodiak through the end of 2025 to support the transition, the company said.

Datta most recently worked as vice president of finance at cybersecurity company SentinelOne. He previously held senior-level positions at semiconductor and AI technology company Arm, and has also worked in investment banking at Evercore and J.P. Morgan.

The change comes as Kodiak prepares to go public via a business combination with Ares Acquisition Corporation II, a special purpose acquisition company affiliated with Ares Management. Kodiak expects to be listed on Nasdaq in the second half of 2025.
