Fortescue Ltd. has released its FY25 full-year results, reporting a net profit after tax of $3.4 billion. The company maintained a dividend payout ratio of 65%, consistent with its dividend policy. Fortescue shipped 198.4 million tonnes of iron ore during the period, achieving a hematite C1 cost of $17.99 per wet metric tonne, which is described as industry-leading. For FY26, Fortescue has provided guidance for total iron ore shipments between 195-205 million tonnes and a C1 cost for hematite ranging from $17.50 to $18.50 per wet metric tonne. Additionally, the company anticipates Iron Bridge concentrate shipments to be between 10-12 million tonnes on a 100% basis and plans metals capital expenditure between $3.3 billion and $4.0 billion. Energy-related expenditures are projected at $400 million for net operating expenditure and $300 million for capital expenditure, based on an assumed AUD:USD exchange rate of 0.65. Fortescue continues to focus on its purpose of accelerating global decarbonisation rapidly and profitably.
