AAR (AIR) said late Thursday it entered a multi-year defense distribution deal with AmSafe Bridport, a unit of TransDigm.
The deal would see AAR become the exclusive KC-46 and C-40 platform distributor for sales to the defense and military aftermarket, including the US Defense Logistics Agency, Armed Services for fleet sustainment, as well as foreign militaries, according to a statement.
The deal will facilitate intracompany coordination on government contracts supported by AAR's Government Programs segment, resulting in better customer service, the company said.
The contract also diversifies the company's defense distribution portfolio to include cargo handling products, according to the statement.
Financial details were not disclosed.
