STOXX HIGHER AS AEROSPACE AND DEFENCE, HEALTHCARE PROVIDE LIFT

Europe's STOXX 600 .STOXX is rising 0.4%, buoyed by aerospace and defence names which are the best off sector, while insurers and utilities names are tracking lower.

A basket of aerospace and defence stocks .SXPARO is up 1.6%, with the likes of Poland's Creotech Instruments CRI1.WA and the UK's BAE Systems BAES.L leading the way, up a respective 4% and 2.4%.

The UK's top riser meanwhile is IT software developer Kainos Group KNOS.L, surging over 17% after an upbeat revenue outlook, while Domino's Pizza is not far behind, with share up 6.6% after the company reaffirmed its 2025 forecast and launched a $27 million share buyback.

Meanwhile Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk's shares NOVOb.CO are up about 3% after it said its weight-loss drug Wegovy cuts heart risk by 57% versus rival treatments from Eli Lilly LLY.N.
