Shares of Sprinklr slid after the cloud-software company said Manish Sarin would be stepping down from his role as chief financial officer.

The stock was down 9%, to $7.84, midday Wednesday, and has fallen about 7.5% since the start of the year.

Sarin's resignation is expected to be effective on Sept. 19, the company said, adding that it named Chief Executive Rory Read as financial chief on an interim basis while it searches for a permanent successor.

The New York company also on Wednesday named Scott Millard as its chief revenue officer, effective Sept. 22.

Millard was previously senior vice president of global AI sales at Dell Technologies, Sprinklr said.
