印度股市周四开盘跳涨逾1%，此前印度一个重要的税务委员会大幅削减消费税，以减轻美国高额关税的打击。NSE Nifty 50指数上涨1.08%，报24，980.75点，Sensex指数上涨1.1%至81，456.67点。周三，印度商品和服务税（GST）委员会批准将现有的四税率结构改为两税率结构，并表示从9月22日起，日常用品的税率将降低。以马赫什•南杜卡尔（Mahesh Nandurkar）为首的杰富瑞分析师表示，降价应会提振经济增长和节日需求。13个主要板块均录得上涨。汽车指数上涨3.6%，而消费类股指数大涨2.7%，领涨基准股指。
