据路透，维权投资者Elliott Management披露持有40亿美元百事股份，按上周五(29日)收市计相等于百事可乐市值2%。Elliott指，公司因战略失误、苏打水业务市占流失及引入新品牌与产品导致执行焦点受影响，使北美饮品业务增长及盈利率落后同业。Elliott指公司亦应重新检讨饮品装瓶授权，可透过授权予地方装瓶公司分销饮品，并在相关授权持股，或选择把北美装瓶业务分拆。Elliott又指公司应在食品业务考虑出售非核心资产，并称百事可乐饮品业务的失望表现，过去由坚韧及表现吸引的食品业务抵销，现在北美食品业务亦开始动摇。百事北美饮品及食品各占公司年收入30%。百事声明回应指，公司将在战略问题上检视Elliott的信件，该战略包括对创新和产品组合转型的针对性投资。
