Flutter Aims to Avoid Controversy With Prediction Market Debut -- Market Talk

1435 ET - Flutter has taken a prudent approach to entering the prediction markets industry, a move DraftKings could follow, Fitch Ratings says. In August, Flutter said it would work with CME Group, a global derivatives marketplace, but focus on financial markets rather than sports events. "Flutter is taking a measured approach, testing the waters and monitoring regulatory and stakeholder reactions before committing to more controversial or complex sports-related contracts," Fitch says. As the two largest sports-betting operators, DraftKings and Flutter are faced with a big opportunity with prediction markets, but also risk alienating key partners such as state regulators and tribes.
