Turaco Gold (ASX:TCG) confirmed high-grade gold at the Begnopan deposit, within the Afema project on the Ivory Coast, following the release of assays from recently drilled reverse circulation holes, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Results include eight meters at 6.36 grams per tonne grade of gold from 105 meters, 10 meters at 3.33 g/t grade of gold from 49 meters, and six meters at 5.05 g/t grade of gold from 137 meters, the filing said.
Further drilling is planned for a maiden resource estimate for Begnopan, which will be incorporated into the update of the Afema mineral resource estimate in the fourth quarter of the year, per the filing.
Turaco Gold shares fell 1% in morning trade on Wednesday.
