HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KRX:009540) secured an order for two 157,000 deadweight tonnage crude oil tankers from a shipowner in Africa, according to a Thursday filing with the Korea Exchange.
The deal is valued at 242.2 billion won, and the shipbuilder will deliver the container ships by Dec. 15, 2027.
Shares of HD Korea Shipbuilding rose nearly 3% at market close.
