Pro Medicus (ASX:PME) said its wholly-owned US-based unit, Visage Imaging, was granted an "authority to operate" for the Veterans Affairs Enterprise Cloud by the US Department of Veterans' Affairs, for a cloud-based implementation of the Visage 7 enterprise imaging platform, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

Visage demonstrated, documented, tested, and validated Federal security controls.

It will include the transition of the current on-premise implementation of Visage 7 to the Veterans Affairs Enterprise Cloud, the firm's Chief Executive, Sam Hupert, said. Once completed, the firm will use it as a reference site for other Veterans' Integrated Service Networks looking to migrate to the cloud.

The firm's shares fell over 1% in recent trading on Monday.
