Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund (TYO:9284) has reported a partial suspension of power generation at its CS Kasama-shi Dai-san Power Plant in Japan due to the theft and damage of electrical cables.

The incident was discovered this morning by the plant's operator, Canadian Solar O&M Japan, to which the fund outsources maintenance services, according to its Tokyo bourse filing on Wednesday.

Police are investigating the theft, and emergency measures are being planned to restore the system, with further details on restoration and financial impact to be announced later.

Despite the disruption, the fund expects no revision to its financial forecasts through December, as the plant is entitled to receive 70% of its forecasted rent regardless of power generation.
