9月2日，据彭博社报道，周二在香港举行的法庭聆讯上，恒大清盘人将把目标死死锁定在该公司创始人许家印身上，他们将继续追讨与这起全球最大企业清盘案之一相关的资金。
尽管许家印本人预计不会出席聆讯，他仍然是整个案件的核心人物。清盘人正在寻求法院支持，向许家印及其他多名被告追回约60亿美元的股息与酬金。恒大方面此前承认，该金额是基于2017年至2020年间各财政年度财务报表存在误报而计算得出。
此外，清盘人还试图厘清许家印的个人资产情况——截至目前，许家印始终拒绝对外披露其资产明细。若清盘人成功说服法院下令强制其公开财产，这笔相当于恒大初步估算债务总额（450亿美元）约八分之一的资产或将浮出水面。
自2021年恒大发生债务违约以来，该公司已成为房地产行业的标志性案例。2024年初，香港高等法院正式下令对这家曾经的中国最大房地产企业进行清盘，并委任安迈顾问有限公司的Edward Middleton与黄咏诗担任清盘人。清盘人团队至今已审核大量公司文件，并对恒大系上下数千家实体展开细致调查，以寻找可能的资金追回路径。
在资本市场历经超过16年的起伏后，恒大已于2025年8月25日正式从港交所退市。
