Meridian Energy Opens Green Bond Offer of Up to NZ$250 Million

Meridian Energy (ASX:MEZ, NZE:MEL) opened an offer of up to NZ$250 million of unsecured, unsubordinated, fixed-rate green bonds, maturing March 11, 2032, according to a Monday filing with the New Zealand bourse.

The firm would have the ability to accept oversubscriptions of up to an additional NZ$100 million at its discretion, the filing said.

The interest rate for the bonds maturing on Sept. 20, 2028, will be 5.91% per year, while those maturing on March 21, 2030, will have an interest rate of 5.4% per year.

The offer is expected to close on Thursday.
